About Chef Scotty

Chef Scotty Roberts was born and raised on Maui, where the ocean and mountains were his first classroom. Growing up in Hawai‘i, he spent much of his time fishing, hunting, and picking ‘opihi. These traditions instilled in him a deep respect for the land, the sea, and Hawai‘i’s culture.

With over 12 years of professional culinary experience, Chef Scotty has honed his craft in kitchens across Hawai‘i, blending classical techniques with the rich flavors of the islands.

His passion lies in creating immersive dining experiences that celebrate Maui’s abundance from fresh-caught fish to locally grown produce.

Through Chef Scotty Maui, he brings these flavors to life with offerings that range from ocean-to-table and private chef dining experiences to authentic Hawai‘i-inspired buffets.

His signature Catch & Cook experience—where guests witness the cleaning, cutting, storytelling, and preparation of the day’s catch—captures the true spirit of ocean-to-table dining on Maui. His mission is simple: to create lasting memories and share the authentic taste of Maui with every guest.
